Robert Half Office Manager & Payroll Specialist in Berrien Springs, Michigan
Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Office Manager in our CPA firm located in the greater Niles, MI region. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, managing communication via phone and email, as well as overseeing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth business operations. You will also make an impact by supporting payroll processing services and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate client appointments, both in and out of the office
• Handle all incoming calls and faxes across multiple lines, ensuring messages are recorded accurately and promptly relayed
• Deliver exceptional customer service, answering client inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
• Execute data entry tasks with precision, particularly within QuickBooks, to maintain accurate customer and business records
• Administer bi-weekly payroll within QuickBooks, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, maintaining a basic level of proficiency
• Keep track of timelines and deadlines, ensuring all tasks and projects are completed in a timely manner
• Maintain an organized filing system, ensuring all documents are accurately recorded and easily accessible
• Leveraging your organizational skills to manage office operations efficiently.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in office management, preferably within a CPA firm
• Proficient in Payroll Processing and/or Payroll reporting
• Experience in answering inbound calls professionally and promptly
• Proficient in using QuickBooks for financial management
• Experience in managing quarterly reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in scheduling appointments efficiently
• Proficient in organizing files and maintaining a well-ordered office environment
• Possess basic office skills such as typing, filing, and email communication
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
