Description

Mid size small public accounting firm located in Bethel CT continues to expand and is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant that can add value and grow long term with the company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.

• Perform calculations for personal and business estimated Federal and State tax payments.

• Develop and implement tax minimization strategies.

• Liaise with the accounting staff to ensure timely delivery and review of financial statements, with a focus on profit maximization.

• Stay up-to-date with current trends and changes in tax law, ensuring continuous professional education.

• Use tax software (Lacerte is a plus), Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) to facilitate tasks and operations.

• Work effectively within a team environment, exhibiting strong communication skills.

• Deliver excellent customer service, focusing on delivering results to achieve client satisfaction.

• Adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is desirable

• Prior experience in a public accounting firm or tax department is a must

• Experience with QuickBooks and Lacerte preferred
