Robert Half Cash Application Specialist in Bethesda, Maryland

Description We are providing an opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry. The role is situated in Bethesda, Maryland, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The position will involve utilizing various accounting software systems and CRM in an office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing Lawson for cash applications and other related tasks.

• Working 40 hours a week in an office environment.

• Participating in team meetings to discuss and resolve work-related issues.

• Utilizing knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Great Plains (GPAC) for efficient work management.

• Handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Automated Clearing House (ACH) activities.

• Undertaking billing functions and managing cash activity.

• Applying cash applications to maintain an efficient workflow in the office.

• Using Crystal Reports to generate and analyze data for informed decision making.

Please note that this role does not transition into a permanent or full-time role. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Cash Application Specialist role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding of Great Plains (GPAC)

• Skill in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) systems

• Experience in Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity and Cash Applications

• A degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices

• Willingness to continue detail oriented development and stay updated on industry trends and changes.
