Description We are seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team in BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania. The primary focus of this role is to manage various billing functions within the insurance and educational sectors. This position is a contract to hire employment opportunity, offering the chance to work in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities spanning from processing insurance claims to maintaining and updating school contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of insurance claims for commercial and Managed Medicaid insurance reimbursement.

• Submit reimbursement requests to payors in a timely manner.

• Assist patients in establishing self-pay arrangements and payment plans.

• Track payments and post them through the accounts receivable process in Central Reach.

• Investigate and resolve client billing problems and issues, adhering to collection time frames from payors.

• Under supervision, initiate private pay collections following insurance cancellations, denials, or other issues.

• Input client authorizations (IEP) and supporting documentation into Central Reach for school billing.

• Upload pertinent documentation to a shared drive.

• Monitor and process mileage reimbursements.

• Review timesheets for billing purposes, checking for proper coding, unconverted time/duplicate/overlapping times, and assist field staff with Central Reach.

• Maintain service codes and add new service codes as needed, under the direction of the Administrative Director.

• Train new employees in Central Reach, billing, and/or accounts receivable for backup cross-training. Requirements • Candidate must possess skills to manage Medicaid.

• Proficiency in Medicaid billing is required.

• Understanding of Medicaid eligibility is essential.

• General billing skills are expected.

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
