Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania


Robert Half Talent Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our client in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The role will involve handling payroll processing tasks, ensuring compliance to payroll and tax laws, and liaising with external payroll representatives. • Accurately and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates

• Enter all necessary documentation for regular and supplemental payroll processing

• Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions

• Facilitate payments for all payroll-related expenses

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

• Act as a liaison with outside payroll company representatives

• Facilitate year-end filings for ACA forms, W-2, and all other required forms

• Assist with benefits administration as needed

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and About Time

• Perform additional accounting functions and check processing as necessary

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred

• Knowledge in Ceridian software is advantageous

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 system

• Proficiency in Kronos Timekeeping System and About Time software

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge in Benefit Functions

• Experience in Check Processing is essential

• Ability to work in a team and maintain professional relationships

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
