Description
Robert Half Talent Solutions is representing a leading manufacturer that is seeking a Production Planner to join their team located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing the scheduling and coordination of work and material flow within or between departments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining acceptable inventory levels, controlling costs, and ensuring customer on-time deliveries. This role is also pivotal in supporting and leading improvement projects within the logistics organization.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule and coordinate work and material flow within or across departments.
• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools such as IBM AS/400 and 3M to manage resources and data.
• Maintain acceptable inventory levels to meet production demands and customer requirements.
• Control costs through effective resource planning and management.
• Ensure customer on-time deliveries by accurately forecasting and scheduling production.
• Support and lead improvement projects within the logistics organization.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to resolve inquiries.
• Utilize Dcs and ERP Solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Generate KPI reports using 'About Time' software to track production progress and performance.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Production Planner
• Proficiency in 3M, Dcs, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and ERP Solutions
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and About Time software
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience in forecasting and KPI reporting
• Ability to use initiative and work under pressure, whilst ensuring meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Familiarity with manufacturing and regulatory guidelines for products
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
• Good at maths and statistics with strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities at all levels of an organization.
