Description
An entertainment company based in Beverly Hills is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will assist with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and journal entries while supporting the overall accounting function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience in accounting looking to grow in the entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice entry, approvals, and payments.
Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and tracking incoming payments.
Prepare and post general ledger journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
Support the senior accounting team with ad hoc reports, audits, and special projects.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred (AP, AR, general ledger).
Familiarity with accounting software (experience with NetSuite is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
