Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist with expertise in ADP Workforce Now to join our entertainment company based in Beverly Hills. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll processing for our diverse workforce, ensuring accurate and timely payments, compliance with industry-specific regulations, and adherence to union and non-union payroll requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and working cross-functionally to support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including union and non-union, using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, deductions, and special pay structures.
Compliance & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws, especially as they pertain to the entertainment industry. Ensure payroll compliance and prepare periodic reports.
Data Integrity: Enter and maintain employee data in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy in employee information, pay rates, benefits deductions, and other payroll-related information.
Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve payroll discrepancies by researching and investigating complex payroll issues. Provide support to employees with payroll inquiries, clarifying payroll-related information.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and Production teams to understand payroll implications of staffing, benefits, and project-based roles. Collaborate with unions and other industry-specific entities on payroll matters as needed.
Audits: Prepare for and assist with payroll audits by providing relevant payroll information and ensuring all payroll documentation is accurate and accessible.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years specifically using ADP Workforce Now. Entertainment industry payroll experience preferred.
Knowledge of Union Payroll: Familiarity with union payroll processing, SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, and other industry-specific guidelines is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, MS Excel, and other payroll-related software. Experience with payroll reporting and tax filing.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies independently.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset to handle sensitive payroll-related inquiries professionally.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
