Accountemps has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Bingham Farms, Michigan area and will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time position.
Your responsibilities as an Accounts Payable Clerk are:
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Provide support during internal and external audits
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Execute full-cycle A/P
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Perform special projects as assigned
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Command of Coding Invoices
Enter Vendor Invoices experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Journal entries experience
Wide ranging experience with QuickBooks
General familiarity with Process Vendor Invoices
Process Check Requests experience
Practical knowledge of wire transfer
Quality experience with Complete Expense Reports
Earlier work involving Quickbooks Online
Well-founded grasp of check processing
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
