Robert Half Property Accountant in Bingham Farms, Michigan

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, located in Bingham Farms, Michigan. As a Property Accountant, you will be handling the daily accounting tasks and monthly reporting for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the daily accounting operations for a portfolio of properties.

• Prepare and present the monthly financial statement reporting package and compliance reports.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, including posting adjustments.

• Process bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy.

• Monitor the cash requirements and needs of the properties.

• Oversee the A/P team to ensure timely processing of payments.

• Respond promptly to requests for financial data and information.

• Prepare the annual year-end workpapers required for audit and tax reporting.

• Assist the management team with special projects and other assigned tasks.

• Use property accounting skills to complete month-end close activities. Requirements • Proven experience in Property Accounting is mandatory for this role.

• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Must demonstrate strong skills in Account Reconciliation.

• Experience working with the General Ledger is essential.

• Knowledge of the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry is crucial.

• An ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously is needed.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

• A commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
