Chris Preble is working with a client of his in Binghamton, NY that is looking to hire an Accounting Manager. This manufacturing company has been growing a lot and this is a newly created role reporting into the Plant Controller. This organization has a really good corporate culture that has very low turnover and good work life balance. This role will also have growth to it.

Responsibilities:

• Help oversee the preparation, review, and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet management

• Help lead the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to guide financial decision-making

• Assist with develop, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls

• Ensure the company complies with all tax regulations and filings, working closely with external tax advisors when necessary

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, implement automation, and increase efficiency across accounting functions

• Collaborate closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives

• Help oversee cash flow projections and assist with managing working capital to ensure the business meets its liquidity needs.

Requirements

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask
