Description
Currently seeking a dynamic individual to join a leading company through Robert Half's partnership. We are looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to play a crucial role in our Birmingham, Alabama office on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity for career advancement within our influential department. This Accounts Payable Clerk position is located in Birmingham, AL.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage incoming invoices, checks, and related documents by sorting, logging, scanning, and filing.
Undertake various additional projects as assigned.
Offer assistance to internal stakeholders as needed.
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing.
Ensure adherence to company policies while accurately executing daily processes and controls within specified timelines.
Verify, log, and dispatch checks, including managing special handling requests.
Execute full-cycle A/P duties.
Manage administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department.
Assist during both internal and external audits.
Requirements - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Deep understanding of Resolve Discrepancies
Oracle experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
3 Way Matching experience preferred
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
High attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
