Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The role is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and involves handling various accounting duties in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing vendor relationships, and processing invoices.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process daily and weekly paper check runs.
• Oversee the management and payment of invoices.
• Collaborate and maintain relationships with multiple vendors.
• Utilize accounting software systems, particularly Fusion carmake and Microsoft Excel, for various tasks.
• Implement strategic approaches to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ensure accurate account coding and data entries.
• Regularly update vendor invoices and other accounts payable functions.
• Monitor and take appropriate action on customer accounts.
• Resolve customer inquiries and provide exemplary customer service.
• Participate in the expansion and growth of the company by handling an increasing volume of invoices.
Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Coding
• Solid experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Proficiency in performing Accounting Functions
• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Experience in entering Vendor Invoices
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
