We are looking for accounting professionals who are accomplished and organized. We have a client currently in need of a success-driven Full Charge Bookkeeper. You will monitor full cycle A/P and A/R, payroll, payroll tax, sales tax filings, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, and financial statement preparation as the Full Charge Bookkeeper. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Homewood, Alabama area. Apply for this position today!
Your responsibilities
Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Oversee monthly accounting close
Other assignments as requested
Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation
Log budget transfers
Administrate Accounts Receivable
Business license and gross receipts reporting
Provide cash flow projections, as needed
Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Manage Accounts Payable
Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments
Requirements
High attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Prior accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Sales Tax Returns
General familiarity with Quickbooks Online
Bookkeeping experience
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Payroll Tax Returns experience
Public Accounting experience highly preferred
Practical knowledge of Client Relations
Adeptness in Payroll Taxes
Foundational knowledge in Full Cycle Payroll
