We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a SOX Auditor in BIRMINGHAM, Alabama. The role primarily involves auditing, compliance, and identification of deficiencies in line with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. Seeking someone who can primarily work onsite. Apply Today!

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive SOX audits with precision and diligence.

• Ensure strict adherence to compliance regulations within the organization.

• Identify and report any deficiencies or discrepancies in compliance.

• Implement corrective action plans to rectify identified deficiencies.

• Work closely with various departments to streamline processes for better compliance.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOX regulations and their application in the industry.

• Provide recommendations for improving the organization's operations, in terms of both efficient compliance procedures and risk management.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure the end of year SOX testing is executed effectively.

• Continuously monitor and review customer accounts for compliance.

• Act on the findings of the audit and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a similar role, specifically SOX Auditor, is essential.

• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance and auditing practices.

• Ability to identify and assess deficiencies in compliance or performance.

• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CISA is preferred.

• Must be willing to adhere to ethical standards and professional code of conduct.
