Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accounting Manager in the manufacturing industry. This position is based in Blair, Nebraska, United States. As a Cost Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing cost accounting processes, driving change, implementing process improvements, and enhancing team efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead plant accounting processes, maintaining standard costs and material master data.

• Manage monthly manufacturing and inventory reconciliation, addressing variances and optimizing inventory levels.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and annual close duties for timely financial reporting.

• Supervise the Fixed Asset Process, review internal controls, and contribute to system understanding, including Accounting Software Systems.

• Spearhead efforts with a global team to capitalize a new production facility, ensuring global consistency in processes.

• Identify and improve team strengths and weaknesses, aligning training programs to meet company needs and enhance skill development.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with other departments by leading diverse projects and delegating activities strategically.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous feedback, constructive coaching, and mentorship for improved technical skills and problem-solving.

• Partner with financial planning and analysis teams on annual budgets, analyze budget vs. actual results, and assist with year-end tax reporting.

• Leverage expertise in accounting functions and manufacturing cost accounting to drive improvements in costing and fixed assets within a manufacturing environment. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports

• Familiarity with Epicor

• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience in Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Expertise in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Experience in Cost Accounting

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Prior experience in the Manufacturing industry

• Ability to interpret and analyse financial data

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA certification is preferred

• Proven track record of working on large scale financial projects

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
