Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Bloomington, Minnesota

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR Administrative Assistant who is looking to grow and develop their career in HR. This contract-to-hire position is for an onsite role located in Bloomington, MN. The ideal candidate will have some prior administrative experience, pay close attention to detail, be able to multitask, and have a keen interest in HR.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.

  • Compile and update employee records.

  • Process documentation and prepare reports related to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc).

  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc), and take minutes.

  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.

  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc).

  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures.

  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.

  • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees.

  • Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.

  • Familiarity with an HR software and HRIS database.

  • Knowledge of labor laws.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong skills in communication and presentation.

  • Solid ability to work with a wider variety of people.

  • Up-to-date with latest HR trends and best practice.

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
