Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Bloomington, Minnesota

Description

If you want to do long-term contract / temporary work with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry, this Senior Financial Analyst position will be of interest to you. This Senior Financial Analyst will be located in Bloomington, Minnesota. This is a position for someone who wants to be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant position can perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating critical updates to senior leadership

  • Cultivate business performance through the use and execution of financial analysis

  • Develop repeatable business, operational and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams

  • Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management

  • Handle ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

  • Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

  • Influence the accuracy and discretion of tracked financial results with Operations and Accounting in order to drive improved management reporting

  • Work closely with the Functional leads to provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance plus ensure alignment of operational initiatives

    Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization

  • Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers

  • Comprehensive knowledge of budget forecasting

  • Able to think critically and operate effectively with management

  • Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree

  • Efficient in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
