Description We are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant for our CPA firm located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. This role involves handling tax returns, tax planning, and reviewing complex tax situations for both individual and corporate clients. This is a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process a high volume of individual and corporate tax returns.

• Manage and prioritize a backlog of tax returns during peak periods.

• Handle complex tax situations for a variety of small businesses, including manufacturers and service industry companies.

• Provide tax planning strategies for clients in late November and early December.

• Review a variety of tax situations, some of which may be complex or complicated.

• Handle multi-state tax returns.

• Work with a variety of small businesses that may have many state returns.

• Review and process tax returns for S Corps and complicated partnerships.

• Handle any job that is thrown at them from a review standpoint, some of which may be quite complicated.

• Work with partners to set up and schedule jobs for them to work on. Requirements • Proficient in handling Annual Tax processes

• Experienced in Complex Tax computations and Complex Tax Return filing

• Knowledgeable in Corporate Tax Return procedures

• Familiarity with Creative Solutions - UltraTax software

• Able to process Federal Income Tax Returns and Federal Tax Returns

• Proficient in filing Income Tax Returns and Individual Tax Returns

• Experience in handling Multi-state Tax and Multi-state Tax Returns

• Ability to understand and interpret tax laws and regulations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA certification is a must

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at a CPA firm.
