Do you have prior experience in business systems analysis and project management? If so, Robert Half is looking to appoint a Project Manager for an opportunity with one of its partnered companies. As the Project Manager, your insight of accounting functions and systems will be extremely worthwhile. You will be collaborating with Business Analysts creating requirements documentation and developing new methods of data mapping to accounting systems for the most efficient accounting and reporting of transactions. The Project Manager will additionally manage the accounting leadership team and other key participants in the accounting process, ensuring that their input and feedback is incorporated into key initiatives. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area.
Manages work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation
Crafts governance approaches for the projects to result in clear communication and issue resolution
Works closely with business users to describe and research business requirements
In addition to managing project sponsor expectations and interpreting business drivers, you will work out changes, when necessary, to project scope, timing, or resources to ensure strategic solutions are delivered
Orders priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meet stakeholder expectations
Communicates with the development team to outline business requirements as well as business process design Requirements - Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification an advantage
Ability to use and act upon independent judgement
Ample experience working in the areas of business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development
Keep in touch with executive management, team members, business and technology professionals via both written and oral methods
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience in a range of project management software like Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications
Effective project management skills
navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience desired
Interested candidates should be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
Aspiring candidates with past experience working with or in an accounting function with a key role in system projects preferred
