Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager in the Food & Food Processing industry. The role involves working on ad-hoc projects, researching unfamiliar topics, documenting conclusions, benchmarking disclosures, and preparing/reviewing SEC filings.
Responsibilities:
• Work on ad-hoc projects that may require researching unfamiliar topics
• Document conclusions in a clear and concise manner
• Conduct benchmarking of disclosures to ensure industry compliance
• Prepare and review SEC filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Demonstrate ability and resourcefulness in handling complex accounting topics
• Use analytical and decision-making skills to interpret accounting guidance and form recommendations
• Exhibit initiative and leadership in managing tasks and projects
• Communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and written
• Manage projects efficiently, working independently and as part of a team on complex issues
• Apply technical accounting and SEC reporting skills in daily tasks
• Prepare footnotes and participate in ad hoc reporting as required.
Requirements • Proficiency in Technical Accounting is essential.
• Experience with SEC Reporting is required.
• Ability to conduct Ad Hoc Reporting.
• Expertise in Footnote Preparation is necessary.
• Familiarity with Benchmarking is advantageous.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or another related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Professional certification such as CMA or CPA is advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in the food and food processing industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food and food processing industry.
