Robert Half Financial Crimes Analyst in Blue Ash, Ohio

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crimes Compliance Analyst to join our team in BLUE ASH, Ohio. The role primarily involves understanding business processes, completing project phases within budget, and preparing client deliverables. This position is in the telecom industry and falls under the analyst job function.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of business processes, technical skills, project requirements, and the client's business in various industries

• Ensure timely and quality completion of assigned project phases within a defined budget

• Assist with the preparation of client deliverables, including agendas, status reports, and final reports

• Mentor Analysts by demonstrating excellent client service, technical, and professional knowledge

• Review Analysts' project work for quality and accuracy and provide valuable feedback on areas of improvement

• Assist in scheduling and project prioritization for Analysts

• Communicate findings, roadblocks, and project status to the project team management

• Identify areas for improvement within processes or provide improvement suggestions when challenges arise

• Independently interview client teams to understand current state system and processes

• Foster and maintain meaningful client relationships

• Oversee and review or perform assessments of data and transactional information for suspicious or unusual activities

• Mitigate/escalate red flags associated with anti-money laundering (AML) typologies

• Perform internal searches on client systems, open-source media searches and negative news checks to establish client profile

• Document and prepare observations in a succinct manner within the AML disposition template and recommend whether further review is required

• Prepare project status reports including outlining key accomplishments, items for discussion, and next steps

• Perform budget vs. actuals findings by comparing project hours incurred to overall project budget

• Prepare reports (summarizing work performed) including detailed findings and result dashboards

• Identify areas of professional interest (i.e. cybersecurity, privacy, financial crimes compliance, accounting, etc.) and complete trainings to expand knowledge in the designated area

• Support Innovation activities by providing internal recommendations related to improving the way in which we deliver services to clients (e.g., through Automation, increased standardization etc.)

Requirements • Possess a strong understanding of AML - Anti Money Laundering regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to use advanced functions for data analysis.

• Familiar with KYC - Know Your Customer regulations, able to implement them effectively in daily tasks.

• Experience in KYC AML processes, able to handle customer verification in compliance with these standards.

• Able to analyze and interpret large volumes of data effectively.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to identify and escalate issues promptly.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields would be advantageous.

• Prior work experience as an Analyst or in a similar role is preferred.

• A good understanding of financial markets and trends.
