Description
We are offering a role in the healthcare sector located in Boca Raton, Florida. This position will focus on the complexities of medical billing, with the opportunity to work within a dynamic team. This opportunity provides a contract employment type, with the main function being a Medical Billing Specialist.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of medical bills
• Verify insurance claims and follow up on any discrepancies
• Manage patient billing queries and resolve any issues effectively
• Maintain a comprehensive database of patient's billing information
• Stay up-to-date with current billing practices and insurance regulations
• Coordinate with medical professionals to ensure services are billed correctly
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws related to billing practices
• Regularly review billing systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Liaise with insurance companies to expedite payments
• Provide reports on billing activities as required.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Medical Billing is required
• Possessing a certification in Medical Billing is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to accurately enter data and manage electronic health records
• Familiarity with coding systems, such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Understanding of medical terminology and health insurance policies
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
• Skill in using medical software and computer systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Solid communication and customer service skills
• Proven problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education or specialized training is a plus.
