Description
Are you a Senior Accountant ready for a high growth role? Our client is growing rapidly within the commercial property industry, and we are seeking a breakout candidate who can be promotable to management. The culture is family oriented, with a professional demeanor and has owners who value their employees. The role will be reporting to the Owners and current CFO with a system implementation, setting up policies and procedures and will have a seat at the table as it relates to day-to-day accounting and future process.
Title: Senior Accountant
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA/CPA Eligible preferred but not mandatory
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role within real estate management/ property management
Proficiency in:
Reviewing commercial leases
Accounting for triple net (NNN) lease contracts
Annual recovery billings
Month-end close processes including revenue and expense accruals
Financial statement preparation, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and analytical reporting
Familiarity with commercial leasing software; experience with Yardi Voyager a strong plus
Skills:
Strong general accounting skills
Experience in month-end close processes
Ability to design and implement internal controls
Proficiency in financial reporting
Accounts receivable and accounts payable management
Cash flow management
Knowledge of collection processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Oversee all finance and accounting operations
Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports
Generate monthly financial statements for individual properties and consolidated statements
Supervise billing and monthly rent-up process
Manage accounting operations including accounts receivable, collections, and accounts payable
Coordinate with senior management and external accounting firms for annual tax return preparation
Maintain loan schedules for outstanding property loans
Prepare CAM recovery billings
Manage and coordinate collection process with external agencies and attorneys
Review and update internal control procedures to enhance operational efficiencies and support portfolio growth
Requirements
