Description
Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant in Boise, Idaho. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all project-related financial activities. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and support project success.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.
Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential risks.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable for projects.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, billing, and payment processing.
Reconcile project accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist project managers in preparing and reviewing project budgets and cost estimates.
Provide financial guidance and support to project teams.
Collaborate with procurement and contract management teams to ensure proper financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Prepare and submit required financial reports to management and stakeholders.
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.

Requirements
Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, or similar).
Understanding of construction project management processes and terminology.
Familiarity with cost accounting and job costing principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
