Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Boise, Idaho

Description We are offering an opportunity to join our team in Boise, Idaho, as a Sr. Accountant. This role is crucial to our operations, focusing on managing partner compensation files for payroll, collaborating with various teams for effective execution of partner retirements, and maintaining internal files for retirement-related estimates and actuals. The role also involves managing the production, approval, and proper payment of all quarterly Partner Buy Outs. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all Partner Compensation files for Payroll

• Collaborate with internal teams to track and include new Partner onboarding, retirements, and tax-related nuances

• Provide Partner Comp data as needed for analysis

• Work closely with CFO, Legal, internal Tax and others to execute Year-End Partner Retirements

• Research and collaborate with Payroll and internal Tax and Legal Teams to respond to ad hoc Partner Inquiries

• Prepare Partner-related balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close

• Maintain all internal files for retirement-related estimates and actuals, as well as answering questions around next fiscal year budget data

• Manage production, approvals, accruals (as needed), and proper payment of all quarterly Partner Buy Outs

• Collaborate with Cash and internal Tax teams to ensure correct recording of Retired Partner tax payments and other ad hoc payments

• Coordinate Partner Comp and related communications with the CFO

• Handle special projects as assigned by the CFO or Controller Requirements • Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in using General Ledger and creating Journal Entries is a must.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is required for data management and reporting.

• Experience with Month-End Close procedures is necessary.

• Knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite and Workday is essential.

• Strong communication skills for client interactions are required.

• Experience in handling Payroll is a plus.

• The ability to create Ad Hoc Reporting for various financial aspects is needed.

• A proactive approach to work and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials are desirable.

• Previous work experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role is needed.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is necessary.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment is required.
