Robert Half Controller (Plant) in Bolingbrook, Illinois

Description We are searching for a skilled Controller (Plant) to join our team in the manufacturing industry at our Bolingbrook, Illinois location. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing cost accounting, month-end close, budget forecasting, and inventory accounting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a crucial part of the team, serving as a key point of contact for executive management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage cost accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely information is available.

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded.

• Develop and manage budget forecasts, providing detailed financial reports to executive management.

• Handle inventory accounting to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Utilize skills in Budget Processes, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Microsoft Excel, and SAP to improve efficiency and accuracy in all accounting procedures.

• Communicate effectively with the corporate team, providing essential updates and information.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance and report on any trends or discrepancies.

• Ensure all financial operations align with company policies and regulations.

• Utilize ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, for efficient data management and reporting.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial procedures are followed and identify areas for improvement. Requirements • Proficiency in budget processes, including planning, coordinating, and executing budgets

• Extensive knowledge and experience in manufacturing cost accounting

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial management and operations

• Ability to develop and implement fiscal policies and procedures

• Experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis

• Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage and motivate a team

• Outstanding communication skills to effectively liaise with other departments and stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
