Description A Robert Half client located in the western suburbs is immediately seeking a Project Construction Accountant to work on-site. The Project Construction Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will work very closely with Project Managers. The Project Construction Accountant will be responsible for AIA billing, invoicing, certified payroll, waivers, and other similar construction accounting duties.

To be successful in the role, the Project Construction Accountant will need at least five years of construction accounting experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are also required. Experience with Sage is very strongly preferred. A Bachelor's Degree is also preferred.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management.

• Proficiency in Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures.

• Knowledge of Sage 100, Sage Software, and Microsoft Excel required.

• Experience with AIA Billing and Construction Accounting.

• Familiarity with Lien Waivers and Certified Payroll.

• Experience in Billing, Contractual Billing, and Subcontract Agreements.

• Understanding of construction industry practices and standards.
