Cost Accounting Manager - preIPO medical product company.

Great opportunity to join this growing medical product company. Major commercialization is occurring, so the riskiness is behind them. Their product works, it's approved and selling globally. They now need to complete the build-out of their finance and accounting team. This includes the manufacturing finance end with a key role as Cost Accounting Manager.

The Accounting Manager’s key responsibilities:

  • financial reporting processes related to manufacturing activities

  • assisting with reviews of the monthly close and quarterly reporting

  • cost accounting and related accruals for clinical and commercial manufacturing activities.

  • working with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams

  • streamline and maintain inventory standard costs for all raw materials, WIP, semi-finished and finished goods processes for tracking and accounting for commercial products

  • prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis for areas including inventory, COGS, revenue, accounts receivable, etc

  • collaborating with our external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).

Attractive compensation and benefits package includes base salary of $100-125k plus bonus and equity.

The position will report to the Corporate Controller.

PLEASE NOTE ABOUT REMOTE WORK:

  • Local candidates living in Metro Boston would be expected in the office, but with significant flexible hours afforded.

  • Non-local candidates living in the EST/CST time zones (ideally), can work remotely but will need to visit Boston Area for critical meetings at times.

    Requirements

The role requires:

  • 5 to 10+years of Cost and Inventory Accounting exp. (a Sr Cost Accountant taking a step up is very acceptable!)

  • experience within a product manufacturing setting; medical products helpful, but not required

  • a high-volume manufacturing setting, vs capital equipment setting is best.

  • strong relationship building skills in order to work with various production and corporate teams.

  • strong financial systems skills (Oracle; Dynamics, Excel, etc)
