Description Director of Acquisition Marketing
This new position is an important leadership role within the Client's marketing department. As the Director of Acquisition Marketing, you will direct consumer traffic and lead generation strategy, including all performance marketing channels: SEO, paid advertising, affiliate marketing, and more in order to deliver on key leading business metrics (traffic and lead volume). Together with the VP of Marketing, you will develop and expand the marketing channel mix and determine the appropriate resourcing strategy for this critical function. You will partner closely with the heads of content marketing, web, and lifecycle marketing, as well as cross-functional partners (product, sales) and external resources in order to deliver on business goals.
What You’ll Do:
Lead consumer demand generation strategy in order to deliver against key business growth goals.
Determine overall channel mix, and develop nascent and new channels.
Oversee SEO and the SEO team, and build a company culture of cross-functional SEO ownership in partnership with Engineering and Product functions.
Build affiliate marketing and referral marketing programs.
Develop high-performing and highly efficient paid campaigns, including paid search (SEM), social, video, native ads, sponsored content, and more.
Build measurement tools and attribution frameworks in order to gain insight into channel performance and ROI.
Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly to the executive team on progress against traffic and lead generation goals.
Determine resourcing requirements and develop a resourcing plan (internal and external) required to support the demand generation strategy.
Partner with Product and Engineering on the creation of high-performing landing pages.
Develop new and innovative demand generation strategies.
What We Look For:
10+ years of hands-on development and execution of high-performing B2C demand generation strategies and campaigns
A high degree of initiative and business leadership ability.
Broad digital marketing channel experience.
A technically-fluent marketer, with a deep understanding of and experience with interconnected marketing technologies, including ad platforms, web analytics, attribution modeling, and HubSpot (or similar CRM).
Strong team-building skills and cross-functional collaboration
Experience building a high-performing team in an entrepreneurial environment.
Experience managing a hybrid team of both internal and external (agency, contract) resources.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data-driven information into executive-level insights.
