Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts
Description We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves managing customer accounts in the medical industry, processing applications, and maintaining customer records. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will also be tasked with resolving customer inquiries and taking appropriate action in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications within the medical industry
• Maintain accurate records of customer credit and billing information
• Work directly with insurance companies to manage customer accounts
• Handle and verify medical billing data
• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions to maintain accurate customer accounts
• Leverage knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) in processing and managing customer applications
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Not directly involved in issue resolution but will work in a team to ensure all customer needs are met
• Maintain a hybrid working model, with three days per week being on-site in Boston. Requirements • Must hold at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Billing Functions is a must
• Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is necessary
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• Computer literacy with good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations and procedures is a plus
• Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
