Robert Half Office Administrator in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking an experienced and committed Office Administrator to handle our client's daily operations. This role includes the management of legal support personnel, overseeing physical space, building and maintaining relationships with property management, and representing our company as the lead firm representative. Located in Boston, fulltime in downtown office. Managing a team of 7.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in professional services management, preferably in a multi-office law firm.

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • Solid understanding of a professional services firm's structure and management from financial, operational, and HR perspectives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide hands-on service support to attorneys, staff, and vendors.

  • Collaborate with HR for hiring and professional development processes.

  • Oversee attendance and time management for direct reports, ensuring compliance with local and state laws.

  • Develop the office budget and manage expenses effectively.

  • Strategize and plan local office meetings and special events.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing teams and conducting evaluations.

  • Ability to coordinate events and meals.

  • Familiarity with safe work practices including compliance with the firm’s COVID-19 policies.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, type, and handle light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.) in a professional office environment.
