Robert Half Paralegal in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a Paralegal that will be a key point of contact between the Legal Department and business for our Boston area client. The role will involve supporting the end-to-end contract process, working specifically with managed care contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant health and insurance legal standards. This is mostly remote.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience in managing and administrating contracts

  • Familiarity with healthcare or managed care law

  • Experience working with a service provider-supplier

  • Proficient with HIPAA, data protection, corporate governance, and intellectual property laws

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end contracting, including creation, negotiation, and maintenance in accordance with legal standards and policies

  • Collaborate with different departments for dispute resolution and implement preventive programs

  • Maintain familiarity with Department of Insurance, Healthcare Exchanges, and Medicaid dental contracts requirements

  • Safeguard data privacy and security measures

  • Contribute to training programs development concerning contracting and compliance requirements

  • Assist in new business entities formation, filing and recordkeeping of corporate records

  • Draft legal forms and documents as needed under attorney supervision

  • Assist in regulatory filings, exams, audits, and other regulatory matters

  • Manage contract management system for legal documents

  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks needing quick turnaround

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ paralegal experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in managed care insurance and related fields of contracting and regulatory compliance

  • Bachelor’s degree with a paralegal certificate required

  • JD candidates will be considered

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Excellent writing, proof-reading skills, and a strong understanding of legal and contracting terminology

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, be a team player, and uphold confidentiality
