Robert Half Product Design Manager in Boston, Massachusetts


Product Design Manager needed for a full-time role with our Fortune 100 client in Boston. This role will manage the UX Design discipline as a team. The role will be hybrid with 2-3 days a week onsite. Salary is 115-195K, depending on experience but the target is 155-170K.


  • This will be a dedicated people manager role. You will be an ambassador of design and design thinking, defining & refining the design direction of digital products. You will partner across teams and stakeholders championing the value of design.

  • We are looking for some to empower the team to deliver outstanding design, both innovative and intuitive. Business priorities are always top of mind and influenced by users' needs. Agile methodologies are the foundation of how we work.

  • You will champion the latest tools like Figma and design methodologies as well design systems as an integral part of how to scale design for the enterprise.

  • As a trusted partner of business and technology stakeholders, you will define the problem space and lead ideation workshops.

  • Together with your team, you will identify design activities to deliver engaging design concepts, always keeping an eye out for roadblocks balancing exploration with in-time delivery.

  • Well versed in research, you will champion a variety of methodologies and identify what is best to use when.

  • You will support to the development team in identifying MVP

  • An expert storyteller, you can thoughtfully present your ideas always taking into account your audience

  • Above all, you will be a mentor and a guide for your team’s growth. You are a trusted advisor who always has their back.



  • Design is a passion. You have been a practitioner for at least 8 years and a manager for 2.

  • You have experience with a robust variety of design problems

  • Developing people and seeing them reach their full potential is a calling

  • You are a great communicator who gets energized sharing ideas and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders

  • You are well versed in all things research and when to use which methodologies

  • You have a proven track record of working independently and taking ownership. You don’t miss the details but are also happy to let your team figure out their work. You are willing to roll up your sleeves to figure out issues and troubleshoot alternatives to make the minimum viable product (MVP) happen

  • You have a bachelor’s degree
