Robert Half Project Director - Consultant in Boston, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Director - Consultant based in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is within the IT project management sector and will involve leading a team of Project Managers, consulting with clients, and overseeing all aspects of the project life cycle. The workplace will be a hybrid environment, allowing for both onsite and remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse team of Project Managers, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Act as a business or technology expert, providing consultation to clients and proposing solutions that address their needs and opportunities.
• Ensure the team adheres to the standard project methodology, maintaining quality and consistency across all projects.
• Conduct cost/benefit analyses to inform decision-making processes and optimize resource allocation.
• Develop and manage test cases, ensuring all projects meet the required quality standards.
• Oversee all aspects of the project life cycle, from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Manage project financials, providing regular status reports and forecasting resource needs.
• Lead multi-location projects, coordinating efforts across different teams and locations for seamless execution.
• Utilize Clarity PPM for project management tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate record-keeping.
• Provide training on project management processes to team members, promoting continual learning and improvement. Requirements • Proven experience in Project Management, preferably in a consulting role
• Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and About Time software
• Strong knowledge of Project Methodology and PPM
• Experience in Training, Forecasting, and Competitor Analysis
• Ability to create Test Cases and generate Status Reports
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in Phone Screens
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Financing Solutions
• Experience in managing Suppliers and carrying out Onsite operations
• Ability to Develop Recommendations and manage QA processes
• Strong background in IT Project Management
