Description A well-respected firm in the Financial Services field is working with Robert Half to find a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience. You will use your knowledge and skills to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. This Senior Accountant role is based in Boston, Massachusetts with a company in the Financial Services field. What you get to do every single day

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

• Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements - Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

• Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

• 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Able to manage time well

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Adeptness in credit

• Big 4 Accounting Firm experience

• Audit Senior experience desired

• Strong familiarity with taxes

• Private Equity experience preferred

• Co-Investment experience

• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
