Description
I have partnered with a local biotech looking for an experienced Senior Manager or Manager for their Accounting department to lead their month-end close process and provide support for technical accounting, SEC / SOX compliances. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing biotech firm, recognized for its unique culture. They are on a hybrid office schedule. Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Lead, manage, and streamline month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review, interpret and apply financial reporting, tax and regulatory standards (SEC / SOX).
Handle complex accounting transactions, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, stock-based compensation, and lease accounting.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Develop, improve, and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field. A Master's Degree or CPA certification is a plus.
A minimum of 6-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in biotech or related industry.
Strong understanding of accounting theory, GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a dedication to fostering team collaboration.
