Description
I have partnered with a local Design firm seeking a Sr. Project Accountant or Accounting Manager. The primary function of this role is to provide comprehensive accounting and finance support across all our operations. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing various accounting transactions, and managing month-end financial preparation. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage a range of accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, deposits, and other relevant entries.
• Supervise outsourced accounting tasks and review the data entered by staff members for accuracy.
• Ensure that all client invoices are reviewed, corrected if necessary, and sent out in a timely manner.
• Supervise various cash receipt processes and ensure all transactions are carried out accurately.
• Regularly review bank reconciliations and the general ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Participate in the preparation of financial statements and assist with forecasting and budget preparation.
• Identify necessary journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting and supervise their proper recording.
• Manage and secure financial information within our network, including main accounting files, payroll, accounts payable, deposits, and credit cards.
• Assist with the preparation of documentation for external accountant tax preparation.
• Contribute to efforts aimed at identifying, researching, and implementing improvements in financial systems and processes for efficiency and cost-saving.
• Assist in the supervision and training of Staff Accountants.
Requirements
• 5+ year's experience
• Degree in accounting, finance or something similar
• Deltek accounting software experience
