Robert Half Sr. Tax Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in the financial services industry in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves overseeing the tax team and managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on partnership tax and alternative investments.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve tax workpapers and returns for various entities

• Oversee and manage the analysis of legal documents to determine tax implications

• Respond to investor inquiries on tax reporting

• Ensure timely and appropriate responses to tax notices and refunds received

• Coordinate between internal and external teams to complete long-term tax projections

• Review and approve state risk analysis workpaper prepared by CPA firms

• Oversee and manage outsourced CPA team along with junior members of the internal team

• Update and monitor project tracker

• Collect and review documentation to support tax return filings

• Handle ad hoc projects as needed

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP for managing accounting functions and ensuring compliance

• Apply knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and ADP - Financial Services in daily tasks and responsibilities. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Capable of performing all Accounting Functions

• Prior experience in Auditing

• Strong understanding of Compliance protocols

• Skilled in Entity Formation

• Proficient in Income Tax Accounting

• Experience in the Financial Services industry

• Familiar with the role of Tax Manager - Public

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to exercise good judgment

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
