Robert Half International User Experience (UX) Designer in Boston, Massachusetts
Description You could be the User Experience (UX) Designer that this client of The Creative Group is seeking for an immediate position in the Boston, Massachusetts area. This is a short-term temporary opportunity. The User Experience (UX) designer takes the lead on user research, the administering of interviews and surveys of diverse populations, and the translation of results into sitemaps, wireframes, and design prototypes. On top of the day-to-day tasks, this role is also responsible for creating the overall functionality of the product and work tirelessly to make incremental improvements to deliver an exceptional user experience. This position is best suited for creative candidates who enjoy working independently as well as collaborating with colleagues.
Lending support to other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)
Focus areas may include content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience
Collaborating with business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
Working with other members of the digital marketing team on the creation of new initiatives
Overseeing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience
Draw on results from user research and workflow analysis to develop captivating experiences for users of a product
Crafting tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes Requirements
Understanding of graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
To perform this job successfully, you need to have strong interpersonal skills
- Skilled in prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience
Knowledge of design software applications and tools
- Proficient in Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- A portfolio exhibiting UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work
UX/UI Design experience desired
Knowledge of Visual Design
2+ years of experience within the digital design/UX industry
