Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in Boulder, Colorado, United States. As an Accounting Specialist, your primary role will be to oversee the accounting functions of the organization, ensuring all financial records and reports are accurate. Your responsibilities will also extend to customer service, as you will interact with customers to resolve credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain customer credit applications and records

• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate records

• Perform billing functions and check processing tasks

• Handle deposits and process returns as necessary

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and report generation

• Use Yardi and AppFolio software for real estate and property management tasks

• Provide excellent customer service when resolving credit inquiries

• Ensure compliance with all accounting processes and procedures

• Leverage your property management experience to enhance accounting functions. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, ideally within the Real Estate & Property industry

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems such as Yardi and AppFolio

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, Check Processing, and Deposits

• Experience in Process Returns would be advantageous

• Strong Customer Service skills are required

• Must possess strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be legally eligible to work in the location of the job
