Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the construction industry to find a Controller. This is a full time, permanent position in Boulder. It is hybrid, and is paying up to $140k. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute all aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.

• Direct and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure efficient processing of invoices and effective management of vendor and client relationships.

• Coordinate with outsourced payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare detailed financial analysis and reports to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic decision-making for senior management and stakeholders.

• Supervise the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Ensure efficient processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the account status.

• Utilize skills in accounting functions, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), auditing, budget processes, Deltek ComputerEase, construction accounting, and supervisory oversight to perform tasks effectively.

Requirements

Hard skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

• 3+ years in a leadership accounting role

• Construction industry accounting

• Supervisory exp over AP and AR Clerks

Nice to have:

• Deltek ComputerEase + implementing additional modules within this system

• Multiple entity accounting

• Outsourced payroll oversight

• Experience reporting to ownership of a company
