This Financial Analyst position will require the candidate to execute financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other important responsibilities will consist of advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the North SLC, Utah, is a permanent employment opportunity.
Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans
Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources
Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Assemble and review forecasting reports
Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Requirements - Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Proven knowledge of General Ledger System
Budget forecasting experience required
Deep understanding of Microsoft SQL
Foundational knowledge in analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferential)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
