Job Summary:

The Director of Business and Auxiliary Services oversees and manages auxiliary services like facilities, dining, bookstore operations, conference services, and transportation, ensuring they support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for auxiliary services.

  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and pursue revenue opportunities.

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient daily operations of all auxiliary services.

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Customer Service: Promote a customer-centric approach and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws and policies, and manage risks effectively.

  • Reporting: Prepare performance reports and conduct analyses for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Hospitality, Finance, or related field; Master’s preferred.

  • Experience: 7-10 years in business management or auxiliary services, with 5 years in leadership.

  • Skills: Financial acumen, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Office setting with frequent interactions.

  • Physical Requirements: Some lifting, standing, and walking.

  • Travel: Occasional travel for conferences and meetings.
