Overview
The Director of Risk Management oversees the university's risk management program, ensuring the protection of assets, reputation, and stakeholders. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, risk assessment, and mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Policy: Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Insurance and Crisis Management: Manage insurance programs and develop crisis response plans.
Collaboration: Work with departments to integrate risk practices and provide training.
Reporting and Compliance: Report to leadership on risk activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or certifications preferred.
Experience: 7-10 years in risk management, ideally in higher education.
Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management.
