Description

Robert Half has partnered with an industry leading manufacturing organization as they look for an experienced HR Generalist. Serving as an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in managing various aspects of human resources including employee compensation, benefits, and policies. You will also handle recruitment, terminations, policy development and implementation, attendance monitoring, bonus program coordination, and annual evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the process of recruitment and terminations

• Manage and update the Employee Manual, ensuring accuracy in collaboration with leadership

• Handle employee benefits, including group health insurance, life insurance, STD, LTD, and 401(k) programs

• Work with external payroll service provider to ensure timely processing of payroll

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including pay rate changes, training, and disciplinary actions

• Ensure job descriptions are current and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations

• Develop, implement, and maintain time-off policies in compliance with union contracts

• Conduct regular attendance audits, identify potential disciplinary actions, and ensure attendance bonuses are processed

• Oversee FMLA, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, EEOC, OSHA compliance, and other legal matters

• Investigate harassment complaints/incidents in a timely manner, ensuring discretion and implementing corrective actions when necessary

• Continuously monitor industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes

• Offer guidance and counsel during conflicts, ensuring objective communication and constructive corrective action

• Demonstrate strong organizational abilities in all HR functions

Requirements

The ideal candidate will likely possess:

• Proven experience in implementing and managing recruiting Initiatives

• Proficiency in handling Payroll for companies with under 100 Employees

• Expertise in fostering positive Employee Relations

• Sound knowledge and experience in managing Terminations

• Demonstrated ability in managing Workforce Time & Attendance

• Proficiency in using Paychex for HR management

• Strong understanding and ability to enforce HR Policies
