Robert Half Accounting Manager in Boynton Beach, Florida
Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with financial analysis and reporting. The Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including:
Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Managing the accounting department, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ASC 606, and ASC 842
Providing financial analysis and reporting to management
Assisting with the development of financial plans and budgets
The Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller will also be responsible for providing technical support to other members of the accounting team and representing the accounting department to other departments within the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
CPA license preferred
5+ years of experience in accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with financial analysis and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 842
