Description Robert Half is seeking a goal-oriented Assistant Controller for one of their clients. This Assistant Controller position consists of regulating the day-to-day of the accounting staff and providing updates to the Controller. Responsibilities
Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Ensure regular account reconciliation to completion
Drive accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, key financial metrics, and the monthly flash report
Contribute to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, goal setting, and regular assessment
Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports
Accommodate the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Approve implementation and verify adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Perform other duties when necessary
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Help lead the accounting team during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Backfill for Controller when appropriate Requirements - 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
CPA a plus
Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Profound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Consolidations experience preferred
Financial Statement experience highly preferred
Command of Consolidated Financial Statements
Adeptness in financial statements consolidation
Comprehensive knowledge of Consolidated Financial
General familiarity with Consolidated Tax Return
Demonstrated knowledge of financial auditing
Practical knowledge of Corporate Tax Return
Financial Consolidation experience highly desired
Background working with month end closings
Strong familiarity with Consolidated Balance Sheet
