Robert Half Sr. Database Administrator in Brecksville, Ohio
Description We are looking for a Sr. Database Administrator to join our team in Brecksville, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing enterprise databases. This role involves working extensively with Microsoft .NET software development and deployment technologies, as well as integrated development environments such as Visual Studio.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and manage enterprise databases
• Work with Microsoft .NET software development and deployment technologies
• Develop and maintain C#.NET software applications and Internet services applications such as ASP (IIS), COM+, HTML, XML, and Web Services
• Utilize integrated development environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio
• Manage source code repositories such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps and Git
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems, understanding the interrelationships between major system components
• Perform general database administration tasks using Microsoft SQL Server 2014, 2017 and 2019
• Develop Microsoft SQL Server database objects, implement database server implementations, deploy ETL/SSIS code, manage backups, create DB authentication principals, and perform system and query performance tuning
• Develop TSQL and stored procedures
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrable experience in Database Administration.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps is essential.
• Familiarity with Change Management practices.
• Proficiency in using Visual Studio.
• Experience with Microsoft SSIS is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
