Job Title: Senior Accountant
Compensation range: $55,000 - $70,000
Location: Bridgeport, CT

Responsibilities:
Assist Director of Finance with the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare general ledger and bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
Assist with the annual audit
Review and approve payroll prior to processing
Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll tax reconciliation.
Issue accounts receivable invoices as needed and resolve any AR issues with customers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly or semi-annual financial reports for grant funders according to contract terms.
Maintain fixed assets and prepaid expense schedules.
Requirements:
BS degree in Accounting required.
3+ years of accounting experience required, preferably in the nonprofit industry.
Demonstrated system skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
